Pimax Crystal Super Ultrawide VR Headset
Crystal Super is Pimax's modular wired PCVR platform with a replaceable optical engine. The Ultrawide version uses 3840 × 3840 pixels per eye, runs at 72 Hz or 90 Hz and includes automatic 58–72 mm IPD adjustment. Inside-out tracking, two controllers, audio and eye tracking are integrated.

QLED optics and image configuration
The Ultrawide optical engine uses QLED + Mini-LED panels with local dimming and glass aspheric lenses. Pimax specifies 50 PPD, 3840 × 3840 resolution per eye and selectable 72 Hz or 90 Hz operation. Pimax specifies a 140° horizontal field of view for this optical engine. Automatic IPD adjustment covers 58–72 mm.
Eye tracking, tracking and audio
Eye tracking powers Dynamic Foveated Rendering 2.0. The headset uses inside-out tracking and includes two controllers, with optional Lighthouse expansion. Audio connectivity includes a 3.5 mm jack and two microphones.
Wired PCVR and modular optical engine
Crystal Super has no built-in battery and requires wired PCVR operation. Pimax requires DisplayPort 1.4a, USB 3.0 or higher and Windows 10 x64 or Windows 11. Pimax Play supports Steam VR, OpenXR and OpenVR. Optical engines are replaceable, but two connector generations now exist; headset and replacement engine must match before installation.

Is the Pimax Crystal Super Ultrawide wireless?
No. Crystal Super has no built-in battery, requires a cable connection and does not support Wi-Fi streaming or Pimax AirLink.

Do I need Lighthouse base stations?
