The Leoxz XGT Pro combines a 295 mm GT-style rim, carbon-fibre front panel, RGB controls and a compact telemetry screen. Its buying decision is more specific than the wheel's shape: how will it mount to your wheelbase, and will you run the display by USB or use the optional wireless link? This guide walks through both choices before you order.

What the XGT Pro gives you
Leoxz specifies a 295 mm polyurethane grip, 4 mm 3K carbon-fibre front panel and paddles, 14 RGB buttons, two multidirectional joysticks with integrated encoders, four push-button encoders and two thumb knobs. The 0.96-inch IPS screen has a 160 × 80 pixel resolution. The manufacturer also lists configurable RGB LEDs and standard magnetic shifter paddles; clutch paddles are an optional configuration rather than something to assume is in every box.
The wheel has a 70 mm quick-release mounting pattern, but a quick release is not included in the standard box. The included USB-GX12 cable allows a wired connection. Check the exact paddles and quick-release option shown in your selected store variant.
USB or 2.4 GHz wireless?
Choose USB for custom SimHub dashboards
Leoxz says the XGT Pro uses SimHub for telemetry and SimBridge to pass data to the wheel. The maker's own notes state that the custom SimHub dashboard operates through USB. If configurable on-wheel telemetry is the main reason to buy, plan for cable routing, a suitable USB port and enough slack for full steering rotation. Install the current Leoxz software using the manufacturer's instructions before mapping the display.
Choose wireless when cable freedom matters more
The separately sold Leoxz XGT 2.4G Link provides the optional wireless connection. Leoxz specifies that wireless operation uses only its built-in gear-and-speed dashboard, rather than the custom SimHub dashboard. Place the receiver close to the wheel as Leoxz advises and check the current firmware and link setup. Do not connect the wheel's USB and the 2.4G Link to the same computer at the same time; Leoxz flags this in its download notes.
Pick a quick release by wheelbase
For a Fanatec QR2 setup, inspect the Leoxz QR2 Quick Release variants carefully: LINK, PRO and CORE have different wheel-side uses, and a matching QR2 base-side is required. Leoxz warns that its Fanatec torque-unlock functionality depends on a compatible Leoxz QR, and its published Fanatec testing predates later drivers and hardware. Check your exact wheelbase, base-side and current Leoxz guidance rather than assuming all Fanatec combinations work.
For selected Simagic or MOZA setups, the Leoxz Quick Release for MOZA and Simagic is a product worth checking against your exact base and wheel interface. The official XGT Pro page lists selected Simagic Alpha models and a limited MOZA R12 V2 test scope. That does not verify every newer Simagic or MOZA base. If powered-QR compatibility is uncertain, the supplied USB cable is the safer connectivity plan once the mechanical mount has been confirmed.
First-time configuration: from mounting to telemetry
Before mounting the wheel, decide which connection you will actually use. USB is the sensible first test because the cable is included and it is the connection needed for the custom SimHub dashboard. Fit the chosen mechanical quick release to the wheel's 70 mm pattern using the hardware recommended for that exact release. Leave the cable disconnected while fastening the wheel; do not trap it between the QR and the back of the wheel.
- Mount the wheel and turn it through its full rotation with the base powered off. Check cable slack, paddle clearance and the gap to the monitor or dashboard.
- Connect the USB-GX12 cable to a PC USB port. Follow Leoxz's current SimBridge and SimHub installation instructions, then check that button and encoder inputs register.
- Load a simple telemetry layout first: gear, speed, flags and RPM. Test it in a supported game before spending time on custom colours and pages.
- Map controls by how often they are needed while driving. Keep pit limiter, radio and brake-bias changes within thumb reach; place rarely used menus on secondary controls.
- If you later move to the optional wireless receiver, confirm its built-in display behaviour and receiver placement. Do not expect the USB-only custom dashboard to carry over.

Three compatibility mistakes to avoid
Mechanical fit is not electrical compatibility. A QR can hold a wheel securely without powering its electronics or enabling a base's full torque. Confirm the wheel-side interface, base-side interface and the connection used for data separately. This is especially important for Fanatec combinations, where Leoxz describes its own compatible QR and limits its published test scope.
Do not treat the optional wireless kit as the standard box content. The product includes the USB cable, while the 2.4G link is a separate option. And do not combine the wheel's USB and wireless receiver on one computer; Leoxz warns against it.
Check the current software before troubleshooting hardware. If the screen shows built-in data but not a custom SimHub dashboard, first verify you are using USB, then check SimBridge, SimHub output and the game telemetry connection. That sequence is faster than replacing a working QR or wheelbase.
A sensible order checklist
- Choose the XGT Pro wheel and confirm whether your selected version has only shifter paddles or also clutch paddles.
- Check the exact wheelbase model and its wheel-side quick-release interface; add the correct QR separately.
- Use USB for customizable telemetry dashboards. Add the XGT 2.4G Link only if its more limited built-in display meets your needs.
- Check clearance for the GX12 cable, the wheel's paddles and full steering travel before driving.
Frequently asked questions
Does the XGT Pro include a quick release?
No. Leoxz lists the wheel, USB-GX12 cable, stickers and tweezers as included; select a matching quick release separately unless a store variant explicitly adds one.
Can I use a custom SimHub dashboard wirelessly?
Leoxz's current product notes say the custom SimHub dashboard works through USB. The optional 2.4G connection provides the built-in gear-and-speed dashboard.
Is the wheel compatible with every MOZA or Simagic base?
No universal claim is supported. Leoxz lists specific tested hardware and warns that other base combinations are not guaranteed. Confirm the mechanical QR and power method for your exact base.
