A modular aluminium-profile cockpit with an adjustable wheel deck, pedal tray and side accessory mount, designed as a rigid foundation for an expandable sim-racing setup.

The Sim-Lab GT1 EVO is a compact aluminium-profile cockpit for drivers who want the rigidity and adjustability of a modular rig without moving to an oversized professional chassis. The wheel deck, pedal tray and accessory side mount can be positioned around the driver, while the open profile construction leaves room for later changes to the seat, monitor solution and control hardware.

Product details

Modular cockpit construction

The frame measures 1350 × 580 × 660 mm and uses black aluminium profiles with modular mounting channels. The supplied wheel deck supports common wheelbase mounting layouts, while the adjustable pedal tray can be positioned for different pedal sets and driver ergonomics. Exact hole patterns and any required adaptor should still be checked before ordering.

Direct Drive guidance

Sim Race Webshop considers the GT1 EVO suitable for Direct Drive use. Sim-Lab also offers optional Direct Drive mounting upgrades, but the manufacturer does not publish one universal maximum torque value for the standard wheel-deck configuration. The selected wheelbase, mounting method and intended force-feedback setting should therefore be considered together.

Seat and accessory planning

A seat is not included. Seat brackets, a seat slider, monitor mounting and adjustable simulation feet are optional. The package does include bolts for mounting a compatible seat and a side mount that can be used for accessories such as a shifter or handbrake. This separation allows the cockpit to be configured around the preferred seating and display solution.

Compatibility

Direct Drive: suitable according to Sim Race Webshop; no universal maximum Nm value is published for the standard configuration.

Wheelbase mounting: wheel deck; verify the exact mounting pattern and any required adaptor.

Pedals: adjustable pedal tray for compatible hard-mounted pedal sets.

Seat and display: seat, brackets, slider and monitor mount are not included.

Sim-Lab GT1 EVo honest review

This Sim-Lab GT1 evo is a fantastic cockpit with beautifully powder-coated aluminum parts and plenty of mounting hardware. The pedal plate is heavy and thick, and there's no flex to be found. Everything can be adjusted to your exact specifications with a few Allen bolts and a few adjustments. If you're serious about getting into the world of sim racing, this is a must-have.

It is some work to put together, but then it is very sturdy and the frame makes it highly adjustable. Since i am fairly tall this is a welcoming feature for me. With the seat i ordered with the rig, i did not need the brackets. I did not know this and ordered the brackets as well. The shopowner very kindly pointed out this fact and refunden the money.
10/10 would recommend.
