Dedicated Formula seating

Playseat designed the Formula Instinct around an authentic Formula 1-style racing position. The integrated seat uses modular fabric padding for comfort and body support. Playseat’s FAQ also confirms that the chair is not designed to be exchanged for a different chair type, which makes the Formula layout a defining part of the cockpit rather than a seat configuration that can be converted into a GT setup.

Steering and pedal adjustment

The patented aluminium X-Adapt quick-release system supports steering-position adjustment, while the pedal mounting system can be adjusted for angle, height and length. Playseat publishes the overall cockpit dimensions as 150 × 60 × 87 cm. The cockpit itself weighs 23 kg; the separate 27 kg figure published by Playseat is the packaged shipping weight, not the product weight.

Important limitations

The Formula Instinct is not foldable. Playseat also states that a gear shifter cannot be attached because the product is designed around an F1 layout. The official product information does not publish an exact wheelbase model list or a Direct Drive torque rating, so wheelbase fit should not be assumed from the steering wheel’s quick-release ecosystem alone.

• MOZA FSR2 (RS068) — Size : 280mm Formula-style steering wheel
• MOZA GS V2P (RS056) — The 300 mm GT format and forged-carbon structure deliver a rigid, responsive interface for circuit racing and esports use.
• MOZA KS (RS047) — Seventy programmable input signals, five encoders and two joysticks support in-race adjustments without leaving the steering wheel.

Choose your pedals

Choose SRP2 or CRP2 with two pedals for throttle and brake, or three pedals to add the matching clutch. Both families use a load-cell brake. The mBooster option combines an active brake with a CRP2 throttle. RS099 and RS067 are clutch upgrades, not complete throttle-and-brake sets; here they are included only in the matching three-pedal configuration.
